Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Collodion Photography... Online!
With today's technology, and the number of people that want to learn the Wet Plate Collodion process, this is long overdue.
Attending a workshop is great. I would recommend that if you can attend one, do it. However, attending a workshop can be very expensive and not very convenient. For most people, one, or both of those things, are huge obstacles. I've tried to address both of those problems by providing this service.
With access to these videos and material, there’s no waiting for something to arrive in the post, or even waiting for an email response, no trees being killed, and moreover, it makes the abstract concrete and takes the mystery out of this very simple photographic process. This really isn't a difficult process to do, but it can be daunting to read about it. My videos are easy to understand, updated and instant - the only thing better would to be working in my studio with me. And if you could do that, you wouldn't be reading this. I'm also offering monthly video podcasts so that you can stay current with new ideas, inventions and techniques while working in the process.
Signup for one of these offers and start learning the process NOW!

- How Do You Determine Exposures for Wet Plate Collodion images?
- Using Contemporary Varnish Versus Period Varnish; What's the Difference?
- Which Fix Should I Use? Sodium Thiosulfate, Potassium Cyanide, or Ammonium Thiosulfate? What's the Difference?
- How Do I Convert My Film Holder Into a Plate Holder for Collodion?

- How Do You Determine Focal Length and F/Stop Of A Lens (especially an old one)?
- I'll also take suggestions on monthly topics from members.
- and many, many more...
Throughout the year, I'll offer a live, "member's roundtable" meeting via Skype to ask and answer questions, and share work and information about equipment/chemistry/techniques with members in this group. This will help connect the wet plate community and facilitate people in finding equipment or sourcing chemistry. And sometimes, it's just good to hookup with like-minded people and chat.
If you have any questions, comments, email me.
