Workshops
Wet Plate Collodion Workshop Information
Quinn offers workshops for both groups and individuals that are interested in learning the wet plate collodion process and all of its ancillary nuances. Quinn has been teaching the wet plate collodion process since since 2004. He's taught numerous workshops throughout Europe and the United States. He's had people from all over the world visit him for private workshops at his home in Germany too.

Basic Workshop (4 People)
This workshop is for people who have never worked in the process before or knows very little about the process. Quinn covers the chemistry and equipment and then spends the majority of the time teaching you how to prepare, flow, expose, develop, fix and varnish a collodion positive image on glass or tin. The duration of this workshop is two days, 8 hours per day. The tuition is €350 per person.
Advanced Workshop (3 people)
This workshop is for people who have been working in the process with positive images and want to learn how to make collodion negatives and print albumen and/or salt (POP). The duration of this workshop in three days, 8 hours per day. The tuition is €450 per person.
Private Workshops
Quinn offers private, one-on-one, workshops for individuals. He can cover any of the collodion processes and all of their ancillary nuances. Everything from chemistry and equipment to Albumen printing. Tell him what you want to learn and he'll teach it to you! There is a 30 day advance notice required to prepare for a private workshop. The duration of this workshop is for as many days as you'd like, 8 hours a day. The tuition is €400 per day.
Performative Lectures & Demonstrations (Not For Profit)
Quinn is available for both performative lectures and/or demonstrations. These are primarily geared toward schools, art galleries, art communities, history or art clubs, historical societies or any other relavent group interested in seeing the wet plate collodion process demonstrated. Quinn doesn't charge a fee for doing these but asks that his transportation, meals and lodging expenses are paid. Please contact Quinn for more information or if you have questions.
Publications
Quinn has published four books. The first one, published in 2006, is a technical book called, "The Contemporary Wet Plate Collodion Experience" (ISBN 1427602735). This book is no longer available for purchase. His new books, "TCWPCE: Ambrotypes, Tintypes, & Alumitypes" and "TCWPCE: Negatives & Albumen Printing" are available (with his Wet Plate Collodion Workshop DVD Series) on this site under the "publications & video" link. His other book is his MFA thesis entitled, "Conferring Importance: Thoughts and Images about Identity, Difference & Memory". The "TCWPCE" books deal with the craft of wet plate collodion photography and "Conferring Importance" deals with the concept, or his personal theory of art and why he uses the wet plate process in his work.
